VISITATION

Abraham learned how to comply with God’s calling and receive His righteousness in faith during his lifetime, though had faced many challenges and obstacles. A

t some points of his days he led a miserable life. His faith and call were constantly challenged. But when dealing with God, he surrenders.

In today’s verse, Zacchaeus was a ‘notorious sinner’ as to others, who doesn’t deserve even a friendship from religious man. But from Jesus’ point of view, Zacchaeus was covered in the covenant pack made with Abraham. He was a sinner just like any human leading a life of godlessness. He was sinner not because of his occupation, as others claimed, but a lost child heaven went out to search.

Zacchaeus was found, repented and Jesus’ arm was open wide to receive. “Then Jesus said to him, “ Today salvation has come to this home, because he, too, is a descendant of Abraham”(Luke 19:9). Remember, still there are many out there protesting Jesus’ friendship with Zacchaeus.

Prayer: Dear God, thank you for your visitation through Jesus and your love for me. Today help me to seek your face with all my heart and to rejoice in your presence with me, in my life. Also help me not to get distracted by what the world and worldly do or say to blemish my relationship with you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
