God is in control

There are situations when new policies and rules threaten the life of many, even the righteous. Such laws are supposed to encourage, reward, support and promote good practices. It is supposed to facilitate to acknowledge efforts made to bring nations to living right with God and with each other. The issue, however, is who makes the law and with what motives?
When bad laws are ratified or signed, it means the wicked have all the means and tools to oppress others.
According to the Bible, Jesus, by His death “erased the charges that were brought against us” and “He took those charges away when he nailed them to the cross.” (Col 2:14) The blood shed on the Cross of Calverley freed us. God, by His grace, redeemed us. You have been redeemed, dear friend!
There was a new decree by the opponents of Daniel, when he excelled in what he was doing. He was excelling because he was using his God-given talent and wisdom to serve the public. His commitment and wisdom took the attention of the King and led him for promotion. This, however, energised his competitors to wickedly corrupt the king-pleasing law to use it against the righteous.
They were successful in brining their corrupted plan as a king-pleasing law. That new law was written. The king signed the law, because he was deceived by those he had trusted most.
In our today’s verse, Daniel stood firm in the battle that was against his righteous life.
“Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.” (Daniel 6:10 )
The victory started when he kept trusting God and doing the right things he was doing aforetime. He managed to talk to God, and gave thanks to God.
Daniel knew the new law was against him, but he never turned his back to God to save himself. He never regretted for doing the right thing. Prayer is the right thing we all need to do, in order to understand God’s will for ourselves and our generation.
What sort of scary writings do you still have posted on your ‘door’? Is it about your sickness? Is it about your debt? Is it about your ministry? Is it about your employment? Is it about your family? Your future?
Please, don’t stop talking to God because of any of them. For He is in control! God is in control!
GOD bless you! Teklu
