Call to righteousness

It seems sometimes hard to acknowledge what we are or admit our own wrongdoings, even to God. This is mostly done to feel ‘good’, when we are actually not.

On the other hand, we have eyes to spot and gauges to measure others’ weakness.

In our today’s Bible verses, the same happened when the “scribes and Pharisees saw him [Jesus] eat with publicans and sinners”. They questioned: How is it that he does that?
“When Jesus heard that, he said to them, “ Healthy people don’t need a physician, but sick ones do. I did not come to call righteous people, but sinners.”(Mark2: 17).

Jesus has called us. He is our saviour, we need to ALWAYS ‘go to Him’ for healing and for salvation.

We also need to let others approach Him to get saved. Accepting those Christ has accepted.

PRAYERS:

Dear God, thank you for coming to heal us, no to condemn us. Thank also for coming to take away our sins, to give us your righteousness and not demanding one from us.

Help us now to bear witness for you, to let others join you, and not to hide the truth nor block the gets.

And cleans us from all unrighteousness, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
